Ghana 1st African Country to Offer Right of Return to All African Descendants in the Diaspora

Africa Decade

Ghana is the first country to offer and encourage the return to Africa of any and all descendants of Africa across the diaspora from the United States, Canada, Central and Southern America, the Caribbean, as well as all across Europe.

This is in addition to being only one of among five countries to offer the 30 day visa-on-arrival as recommended by the African Union (AU).
Ghana Right to Return
Ghana has had a ‘right of abode” law in the books going back as far as the year 2000, but the government is making a concerted effort declaring 2019 as “the year of return”.
