Voter Suppression in the United States
In Georgia, where Stacey Abrams is running to be the first ever female African American governor in the country (yes in 2018), Brian Kemp, the current Secretary of State has been sued for multiple measures that have resulted in what appears to be the disenfranchisement of close to a million voters in that state; a huge number by any measure!

Ethiopia
In a rare move for an African country, Ethiopia has revoked land leases for over 95 large investors including Ethiopian born Saudi billionaire Mohammed Hussein al-Amoudi. This follows the announcement by Soouth African president Cyril Ramaphosa that South Africa would be expropriating formerly stolen land for distribution to its rightful original owners, the South African people. This was followed in short order by a similar announcement by Namibian President Hage Geingob that i would follow suit and change the Constitution to allow the return of Namibia land to the Namibian people. these are measures that are long overdue.

Jamal Kashoggi
The Turkish government has been very proactive in revealing details about the investigation into the likely murder of Saudi journalist, and US permanent resident, Jamal Kashoggi. New details continue to pour in and seem to close in closer and closer to the inner circle of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman. is it possible that these events could lead to the demotion of the popular Saudi heir to the throne? Seems unlikely for now, but not unheard of in the Arabian Kingdom where the line of succession is not as strictly defined as say in the UK.
